I feel the problem with a lot of trainers I meet is that they don't feel they need any more training or need to read about the new learning methods on horses.  That is why so many horses between the young age of 2 to 7 years of age go to slaughter because these so called trainers say they are extremely bad, misbehaved, agressive, dangerous or whatever unjust name they call them.   

The only BAD HORSES out there, are the ones that have been trained by BAD TRAINERS.  We are so intent with an end result, that we fail to look at the beginning of what we are doing or not doing.  TIME AND PATIENCE AND LISTENING TO OUR HORSES, means really try to understand and try something else if that particular horse is not getting it.  The book 'The Truth About Horses' has some very knowledgable things in there, although the only part I disagree with is in the beginning part of the book Mr. McLean speaks on evolution which I don't agree with but his findings on how horses learn and how they need to just learn ONE THING AT A TIME, is excellent.

With children and animals we must really pray for wisdom as to how to show them the right way.  Each child learns differently even from the same family each child is an individual and it bothers me when parents compare them to their first or second or whatever child.  It doesn't matter if they are not like the other children, love them for what they show and what they can contribute.  The same is true with animals, each is different and learns differently, if we can't accept that than we shouldn't have them.  They love us unconditionally, lets do the same and train with more understanding WITH ADONAI'S HELP. 

One trainer that I bought tapes from said the first thing he does is PRAY and asks the LORD for wisdom on how to train each horse.   HE will answer that kind of prayer, but that is the problem with this world, we all think we know more than GOD, so why ask HIM.
